Our Mission: Your Enlightenment...

Self-improvement. We define it as: products and services that seek to improve a person mentally, spiritually, physically, or financially.

MyPersonalGrowth.com was created with one major goal: to provide a one-stop-resource for people interested in personal growth, self improvement and increased motivation.

There are many self-improvement websites out there. Some are nothing more than stores where companies or gurus want to sell you products. Some are overwhelming portals, providing links to other sites.

But, which services are right for you at this point in your life?

  • Do you know how much these services cost?

  • Do you know what others say about them?

  • Which gurus and companies are reputable?

  • Do you have the time to attend a 3-day workshop or just a 1-day seminar?

  • Would you rather get your advice online, by phone, or in person?

These are questions you should ask yourself before spending your precious time and hard-earned money.

At MyPersonalGrowth.com, we make it easy to find the information you need to decide WHERE and HOW to get all this great advice and help. We classify by...

Distribution Channel: The place you go to obtain the help (an infomercial, seminar, retreat, online course, phone coaching service, etc.)

Topic: Improving Your Relationship, Losing Weight, Making More Money, Managing Stress, Getting Better Sleep, etc.

Personal Development, Always In Demand

As a society, we are dealing with increased global competition that is resulting in less stable jobs. We are more insecure due to 9/11 and terrorism that has hit home. We are struggling to cope with the war in Iraq and are dissatisfied with the direction the country is taking and with our leadership in government. We are seeking to take more control over our work lives by buying franchises, starting new businesses in record numbers, and telecommuting. The pace of changing technology and our processing of more and more information has confused us. Americans and Baby Boomers in particular want to simplify our lives and find more meaning. We want to achieve a better balance between work and family. We want guidance, and are willing to pay for it. We want experts to teach us how to “empower” ourselves to cope and fight back.

Americans will spend significant amounts of money for self-improvement products and services, IF they believe there’s a good chance for a real payoff at the end.

Popular self-improvement “gurus” such as Anthony Robbins, Stephen Covey, Carleton Sheets, Deepak Chopra, Brian Tracy, Dr. Phil McGraw, Dr. Laura, Suze Orman and many more promise to improve our relationships, marriages, finances, physical well-being, memory, business and communications skills, and help us get in touch with and explore our emotions—or just take a break from the routine by attending a weekend seminar or week/multi-week retreat at a spa operated by a guru.

Testimonial of a recent visitor to this site:

"I really enjoy this site. Most self improvement sites give you general information you could find in ten minutes anywhere on the internet. It's almost as if they touch on topics simply to to get another one under their belt and don't really give any useful information that applies to real life. MyPersonalGrowth is great because, in addition to informative articles, the site directs you to personal coaches you can get in touch with as well as phone numbers for organizations that can aid you in any number of fields ranging from persistent migraines and sleep apnea to dealing with depression if the information you require goes beyond what the site itself has to offer. Personally, MyPersonalGrowth was a big help to me when I quit smoking recently. The site gave me options for smoking cesation programs as well as other websites I could find information on. I get the impression MyPersonalGrowth actually cares and that's not a feeling you get with a whole lot of self improvement sites." (posted 10/30/2008 by a PeopleJam.com user).
