Landmark
Education
Landmark Education is an
employee-owned company with over 800 professionally trained course leaders
worldwide. It was founded in January 1991.
Formed in 1991 and headquartered in San
Francisco, Landmark Education now offers programs in seven languages throughout
more than 20 countries worldwide.
Landmark Education was named one of the
top training and development companies in the world by HR.com/James McNeil.
Distinct from informational education, which focuses on
increasing participants’ knowledge or understanding, Landmark’s programs offer
transformational education. As such, their programs focus on having
participants become aware of the underlying assumptions, beliefs and
interpretations that constitute the way they view their life and the world they
live in. This allows for immediate and lasting shifts in their effectiveness and
peace of mind.
With this unique position in the
self-development market, many top experts
in the personal development and coaching industries got their start by
participating in Landmark’s programs. Landmark is recognized for having one of
the best faculty bodies in the business, with over 800 leaders worldwide. To
date, Landmark Education has had over 1,150,000 participants in their live
seminar programs. Currently, over 200,000 people participate annually.
Landmark Education’s courses and
seminars are offered in more than 125 cities via 52 major offices around the
world.
In 2007,
Landmark Education’s revenue reached approximately $90 million.

firm has slightly more females than males attending its programs. Last year’s
numbers show: 41% male and 59% female.
The Landmark Forum
The Landmark Forum is not a lecture,
motivational technique, or therapy – it’s a powerful, accelerated learning
experience. A guided dialogue between the instructor and participants, The
Landmark Forum is conducted in a casual environment with 100-200 people being
the size of a typical group.
The Landmark Forum is held in a
workshop setting, such as a hotel conference room or one of the company’s
meeting facilities in major metropolitan areas.
The Landmark Forum takes place over
three consecutive days and an evening session (generally Friday, Saturday,
Sunday and Tuesday evening). Each full day begins at 9:00 a.m. and typically
ends at approximately 10:00 p.m.
As for fees, the Landmark
Forum is $485 in most states in the US (and as high as $510 in NY, CT and PHL).
The tuition price includes over 70 hours of coursework: 42 hours in the Landmark
Forum itself (a 3 ½ day training and development program) and 30 hours in the
included follow up seminar (ten weekly sessions that are 3 hours long).
The Landmark Forum for Teens Ages 13
and Up and The Landmark Forum for Young People Ages 8-12 are three-day
educational programs held during the weekend. The tuition is $525 for each
program.
