Mr. Tracy also has a 12-
week intensive personal coaching service called the Focal Point Business
Coaching Program. It costs $2,995 and is aimed at entrepreneurs, executives,
self-employed professionals and top salespeople. In this program, you learn how
to get better at the few activities that pay you the most, and how to delegate,
outsource, and eliminate the rest. There is a requirement that you now earn at
least $100,000/year and be in control of your own time. It involves an intensive
process of goal setting, time management, and setting of priorities. Focal Point
is also sold as a franchise.
The public seminars, usually one day in length,
in 2005 were attended by 1,000 to 2,000 people, who pay about $300 each.
Management reports that typical attendance today is 800-1,000. Considering the
increased cost of travel and the weak economy, this seems reasonable. The entire
live events business has been hit hard.
Perhaps that’s why more motivational speakers are
developing online programs and phone coaching services that are immune to travel
costs. The Brian Tracy University program carries a fee of $3,000/year and is an
